The goal of the Discovery Learning Center is to provide a safe, nurturing, child-centered and quality educational environment that fosters a child’s individual success and love of learning. Our Philosophy is that purposeful play is a significant element of an early childhood program. We want children to have opportunities to learn through play, exploration, and discovery. Providing structured and unstructured periods enable children to learn at their own rate. Classrooms are planned to encourage curiosity, exploration, and problem-solving in a warm and respectful atmosphere for the children. Teacher-led instruction provides a consistent foundation for learning and individual progress of children is evaluated by teacher-child interaction.

Our oldest son has been going here for nearly 2 years, and recently our younger son started. We have always felt safe sending our kids here. The staff is very caring and the class sizes are small. Our children have learned so much since coming here, and they are given opportunities to do and learn new things through field trips, art (through Tap Tap), water days during the summer, and theme days throughout the year.

My daughter has been going to DiscoveryLearningCenter for a year now and we are so pleased with the care she receives. The teachers are absolutely wonderful with the children and always have a warm smile to welcome the children in the mornings. My daughter has learned so much in the time she has been attending DLC and her social skills have improved drastically since she started going there. The director is very involved in the daily routines and makes sure everything runs as it should. It is clean, safe, kid-friendly, and most of all, fun. I recommend this place if you are looking for a place that is not overcrowded and your child will feel like he/she is at home. As a teacher, I can think of no better environment to help her develop her cognitive abilities.

It is hard to put into words how our experience at DLC has impacted our lives. DLC has been a huge blessing to us and we will always be grateful for everything the staff has done for our daughter. When we needed daycare, trying to find the best fit for our family was incredibly overwhelming and nerve-wracking for us (she is our first/only child and there are SO many options here!). Finding DLC was an answer to prayer for sure! Our daughter learned so much and came so far (academically and otherwise), thanks to the incredible, warm, loving staff; as well as the curriculum at DLC. We were so sad for our journey there to come to an end, as our daughter has now moved on to kindergarten. But we left DLC with full hearts and full confidence that our daughter was ready for the next step. In fact, I have already been told by her kindergarten teacher that she was well prepared for kindergarten!

There will always be a special place in our hearts for everyone at DLC. Thank you for taking such good care of our baby!
